Watch Now On...
Looking for something different for your kids (or you) to watch this summer? The John Colter episode on INSP can be watched for free on Frndlytv. Watch the show, take the kids to the John Colter landing off Highway 100, and visit the memorial on the riverfront downtown.
Fur trapper, mountain man, and soldier, John Colter served as a hunter for explorers Lewis and Clark until 1806. He is considered the first mountain man and the first white man to see the Teton mountain range and explore what is now Yellowstone. He is a Franklin County native as he lived and died in the New Haven area.
