Monthly Meetings
Meetings are 3rd Sunday at 2pm at 209 E Main, Union MO, unless otherwise noted on our Facebook page. If you would like to check out a meeting and see about becoming a member, we invite you to attend.

2002 Meeting Dates: March 20th, April 10th (moved for Easter), May 15th, June 12th (moved for Father's Day), July 17th, Aug 21st, Sept 18th, and Oct 16th.
May 11th we are hosting Sunset Healthcare for a private tour.
We will be represented at the Union Chamber Distinguished Service Awards Dinner on March 26th and
WWII Weekend at the American Legion Post 218 in Washington on May 21st. We will be upstairs.
April 9th 2pm Ken Zimmerman Jr will speak on his book The Union Missouri Bank Robbery. Books will be available for purchase after the presentation. This is the 1902 robbery and subsequent murder of a Pinkerton Detective. This event will be at the museum at 300 E Locust St, Union MO.
April 14th- we presented to Sullivan Christian Church in Sullivan
June 5th Grand Opening.. music, door prize, quilt raffle drawing, and more
June 18th 2pm Native American history in Franklin County with Freddie Wells at the museum.
November 19th- Panda Express Day!

June 13th 2pm.. Elections! Followed by a viewing of the Green Book documentary.
June 6th: Car Show Day. We were open 12-4 (really 11 when people started coming in) with our own version of a car show in the air conditioned building. We will have gift bags for the kids, while supplies last, a digital car show with photos and ads from decades gone by, our windows will be filled with car related items.
May 16th we had Dennis Eilers speaking on the Clearview neighborhood
April 18th, Wayne Winchester speaker after meeting.
April 24th: Book Signing with Dr Ken Johnson, Moonlight Serandeto City Lights: Rare Images of Bands and Orchestras from the Dance Hall Era in Missouri. Live Music by Roy "Buz" Ritchey.
Kara and Jenny will be at ECC for the Bicentennial Opening Ceremony March 9th at 2pm.
June 2nd is Bicentennial event on the Courthouse Square starting at 1130am.

Sept 28th and 29th Indoor Flea Market at 209 E Main St. Tables available $20. Contact Kara at 636.583.2421 to reserve space. First come, first serve. You do not need to be Society Member to get a table.
Sept 22nd is the Berger Bicentennial at Berger City Park and the Franklin County Bicentennial Committee is having an event at Newport Church.

Oct 21st 9am Tour of Boone Township with Glen Blesi. Tour to include Old Argo Presbyterian Church, Spring Bluff, and Elmont. If you would like to attend, please call Carole Howell at 636-583-3247. We will do a Bring Your Own Lunch at the church. It is going to be a good day!

Monthly meeting will be held at the old courthouse in Union on the 3rd floor. Guest speaker will be former Franklin County Sheriff Gary Toelke (Ret.). This is not the same talk he recently gave at ECC. This is a free event and open to the public. RSVP here, but not required.

Suzanne Paulter has deep roots in Jeffriesburg and will share photos and stories along with the history of the community. The presentation is not just about Jeffriesburg but includes why many Greman people left Germany,how they came, why they settled in this area and how early communities developed. Details will also be shared of the local impact of the Civil War ,the area churches,schools,stores, post office, blacksmith , shops, railroad and tornado
